Production Associate -
Sheet Metal Finishing
The Cutting Edge,
a leading manufacturer of custom, short-run, high quality nameplates, graphic
overlays, tags, decals, signs, etc. for commercial, industrial and military use,
is searching for a bright, high-energy individual for a full-time, entry-level
position in our fast-paced Nameplate production department. This opening is due
to expansion of this department, and is an IMMEDIATE NEED.
DUTIES
– General metal fabrication including:

Shearing,
·
Punching (hand
& CNC
controlled),
·
Sanding,
·
Painting,
·
Chemical
Etching,
·
Screen
Printing.
REQUIREMENTS:
·
1-3 years
experience in a manufacturing environment;
·
Excellent
basic math skills- rulers, algebra, fractions, decimals;
·
Exceptional
work ethic;
·
Able to
multitask and meet changing deadlines;
·
Self-motivated, energetic, able to work with limited supervision.;
·
Good manual
dexterity and eyesight;
·
H.S. Graduate
or GED, Valid OH Driver’s License;
·
Able to:
o
stand and/or
sit for extended periods of time;
o
lift at least
50 pounds;
o
accurately
distinguish between different colors and shades of color;
o
work in a
shop/warehouse environment with moderate noise levels.
PREFERRED:
·
Ability to
read, dimension and interpret basic blueprints;
·
Experience
using calipers, micrometers, and tolerances;
·
Screen
printing, chemical etching, anodizing, sheet metal fab, and/or painting
experience.
Candidates for this position will be subject to various tests including
knowledge and skill testing, background and reference checks. Wage commensurate
with experience, skills and test results, plus benefits and possible OT.
